• Trustee meeting: This Sunday, following the morning service.
• Small Group planning meeting: Monday, December 11 at 6:30 pm in the Alpha room. This meeting is open to the entire church family. The Christian Education Board (see Jeani McCammon) is soliciting feedback on what small group meeting times would work best for everyone who’s interested, and is looking for people who would be willing to host and/or lead a group.
• Deacons meeting: Tuesday, December 12, 6:30 pm.
• Greeter and nursery help sign-ups for 2018 are at the Welcome Center.

• Annual Business Meeting: Dec. 3, following a pitch-in dinner after the morning service. Lasagna will be served; salads, side dishes and desserts are welcome.
• Sarah Mission Circle Luncheon: Dec. 4, noon. Nancy Patterson will speak on the Loaves and Fishes program, which provides food for school children. See Cynthia Frederick or Linda Heaton for more information.

• Official Board meeting: Nov. 19, 4:30 pm. All boards please turn in your budgets to Kim Collins prior to this meeting.
• Church pitch-in Thanksgiving dinner: Nov. 23, 1:00 pm. Please sign up at either side of the narthex. Contact Pam or Charlene with questions.
• The Sarah Mission Circle would to thank all those who participated in the Operation Christmas Child ministry this year. We packed 59 boxes and collected enough money to ship those with $6.00 left over. Our grand total this year was 85 boxes!

We are suspending our normal evening service to worship with the other churches of the West Central Baptist Association this Sunday. The annual association meeting will be held at Sugar Creek Baptist Church in West Terre Haute at 4:00 pm. There will be break-out sessions, a meal, and a worship service. We will meet at First Baptist of Linton at 2:30 pm and leave for Sugar Creek by 2:45 pm.

This Sunday at 6:00 pm, in honor of Reformation Day, we will be showing the film Luther: One Man’s Faith in God Launched the Greatest Revolution of All. The film is 2 hours long, there will be an intermission one hour into the film. Bring snacks to eat in the foyer during intermission!

Sunday evening, November 5, we will be suspending our normal evening service so that we might worship together with the other churches of the West Central Baptist Association. The annual association meeting will be held at Sugar Creek Baptist Church in West Terre Haute. It will begin at 4:00 pm. There will be break-out sessions, a meal will be served, and we will conclude with a worship service. We will meet at the church at 2:30 pm and leave by 2:45 pm.

• October is packing month for Operation Christmas Child. The entire church is invited to a packing party on October 26 at 6:00 pm. We’ll have a light supper, so please RSVP at the Welcome Center. This is another opportunity to gather as a church family and work together for His purpose!
• Most needed for Operation Christmas Child in October is the $9.00 shipping fee. There is a box for this in the foyer.
• If you are a veteran and would be willing to carry a flag on Veteran’s Sunday, please sign up at the Welcome Center or contact the office.
