Weekly Update for Sunday, May 23, 2021

This Wednesday at 6:30 pm in our Bible Study series Getting to Know the Bible Better we will be looking at the book of Zephaniah. Our weekly prayer time will follow. Copies of previous Wednesday Bible Study notes are also available.

You are invited to a graduation open house for Madison Collins today, 2-5:30 pm at the home of the Woodalls.

OCC 5th Sunday postage offering: May 30.

Memorial Day Sunday is May 30. There will be no evening service so that families may gather to celebrate the Holiday.

There will be an Official Board Meeting this Sunday at 4:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Mother/Daughter Celebration: May 17, 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. All girls and ladies are invited. A light meal will be served. Sign up in the Narthex.

Weekly Update for Sunday, May 9, 2021

Monday evening at 6:30 pm the West Central Baptist Association will hold a quarterly Meeting and Ministry Celebration at the Baptist Collegiate Mission House in Terre Haute. Church planter David Ralston of Redeemer Church in Terre Haute will be preaching. A dessert Fellowship will conclude the evening.

This Wednesday in our 6:30 pm Bible Study we will be taking a break from the series Getting to Know the Bible Better. Topic to be announced.

There will be an Official Board Meeting on Sunday, May 16th, at 4:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Weekly Update for Sunday, April 18, 2021

This Wednesday at 6:30 pm in our Bible Study series Getting to Know the Bible Better we will be looking at the book of Jonah. Our weekly prayer time will follow.

There will be a short Compassion International presentation, “a call to HOPE” on Compassion Sunday, April 25, 2021. This is an opportunity for church members to sponsor a child in poverty. Sponsorships provide the child with Christ centered physical, emotional, and spiritual care through churches in their communities.

Weekly Update for Sunday, April 11, 2021

There will be a brief Special Business Meeting at the close of the worship service this Sunday morning. This Special Business Meeting will be for the sole purpose of accepting or rejecting the City of Linton’s offer of remuneration for a right-of-way across the front of our property. No other business will be conducted at this meeting.

Weekly Update for Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021

Easter Sunday: we will have a Sunrise Service at 6:30 AM. Breakfast will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Our 9:00 AM Sunday School classes and the 10:00 AM Worship Service will follow. There will be no evening service.

Our midweek Bible Study will be Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Our weekly prayer time will follow.

Awestruck one day ladies conference: April 10, 8-4:00-virtual, here at the church. Tickets are $25.00 which includes lunch. Sign up at the Welcome Center and Rae Anne Tyra will collect the registration fee.

Weekly Update for Sunday, March 28, 2021

Our midweek Bible Study will be Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Our weekly prayer time will follow.

Easter egg hunt: Today, following the morning service.

On Good Friday, April 2 at 7:30 pm we will have a Tenebrae Service here in the church sanctuary. A Tenebrae Service is a candlelight “service of shadows” with Scripture readings about the cross. Communion will be part of the service.

On Easter Sunday, April 4 we will have a Sunrise Service at 6:30 AM. Breakfast will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

On Easter we will have our 9:00 AM Sunday School classes and the 10:00 AM Worship Service. There will be no evening service.
