This Sunday after the morning worship Service we will be having our Annual Business Meeting in the Fellowship Hall. A light lunch will be served first, then the meeting will begin. It is at this meeting that the church approves next year’s budget, and the new slate of officers and committees for the coming year. Everyone is welcome to eat lunch in the Fellowship Hall, even if you’re not staying for the Annual Business Meeting.

On Wednesday, December 21st at 6:30 pm we will have our Candlelight Christmas service in the church sanctuary. This will be in lieu of our regular Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer Time.

Christmas Day is on Sunday this year. Sunday School and Morning Worship will be held as usual, but there will be no Evening Service on Christmas to allow more time for families to gather.

There are sign-up sheets for Nursery, Bereavement, and Hospitality committee volunteers on the Welcome Center.

There will be no Wednesday service this week in order to prepare for Thanksgiving Day.

This Sunday from 4-8 p.m. will be the West Central Baptist Association Annual Meeting, hosted by Sugar Creek Baptist Church at 1050 S. Thorpe Place, West Terre Haute, IN. There will be no evening service here at the church so that we may participate in the Annual Meeting. The schedule for the evening is as follows:

• 4:00 – 4:20 – Music and ministry; breakout instructions
• 4:25-5:30 – Ministry breakout sessions (Snacks will be available)
• 5:35-6:45 – WCBA business items (4 voting items); music, Butler mission offering, sermon by Pastor Tom Savage
• 6:50 – 8 p.m. – Meal

The church office will be closed Friday, Nov. 11 for the Veterans Day holiday.

Fifth Sunday Operation Christmas Child Special Offering: This Sunday, following the Morning Worship Service at the Welcome Center.

OCC Packing Party: This Sunday at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This will be in lieu of our Sunday Evening Worship Service.

It’s time to “fall back.” This Saturday, Nov. 5, we need to set our clocks back one hour, as Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday, Nov. 6.

The Trustees would like to call for a Special Business Meeting to be held in the church sanctuary after the conclusion of the morning service on Oct. 23, 2022. The purpose of this meeting will be to seek the church’s permission to go over the $10,000.00 limit set on their ability to make repairs. The heating/AC unit in the office area needs to be replaced. Byers Heating/AC can replace the unit for $12,350.00. No other business will be considered at this meeting.

FBC Fall Cookout: Friday, October 28, 6:00 pm. Hot dogs and buns provided, side dishes are welcome. See a C.E. board member for more information.

Donations for the relief efforts for Hurricane Ian can be given through the website of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana. You can access the link at www.scbi.org.
